Through the experience acquired in the repairs and maintenance of power transmission equipment for the major iron and steel European/American companies (Riva Group, AST of Terni controlled by Krupp-Thyssen Group, Sollac, Nucor Steel), MAINA S.p.A. has developed a standard internal procedure of reconditioning for the units in operation.
All the recondition and repair operations are carried out by the Quality Control Department who, along with the Technical Department, supervises every stage of the maintenance, by carrying out the checks, drawing up the Inspection Report and identifying the appropriate interventions in order to obtain the best final result (Quality and Reliability).
Benefits for the Customer
Given the strong competition due to the liberalization of the global market, lowering the operation costs has certainly become a primary objective for the steel producers. The after-sale service offered by MAINA S.p.A. is a concrete solution to achieve such objective:
- The Customer does not have to deal with the maintenance of the units, thus eliminating completely the relevant internal costs of activity management.
- Maintenance and repair operations are managed and carried out by the highly-experienced Company who knows the product, the technology and the repair procedures; besides MAINA S.p.A. owns all the appropriate instruments (Workshop, Quality Control Unit, Auxiliary Equipment, etc) to guarantee the best final result.
- All the main trade and wear spare parts are available in stock, thus keeping the Customer from investing money on their own store house.
- MAINA S.p.A. can offer all their Customers an active maintenance programme aimed at covering the ordinary turn over of the units being used and repaired. In this case, the Customer can estimate an accurate and fixed expense budget for the annual maintenance of their operation units.
